Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti National Park covers an area of 14,763 square kilometres. Its name is a Maasai word meaning ‘endless plains’. The park is bordered to the east by the Ngorongoro volcanoes and to the west by Lake Victoria and various rivers flow through it, like Grumeti, Seronera and Orangi rivers.
In the middle of this true ‘sea of grass’ are those rock islands called Kopjes, which are a refuge for many leopards and lions. The vast open savannahs and wooden grasslands are home to large predators like lions, cheetahs, herds of buffalos, elephants, giraffes, a host plains game and a wide variety of birdlife.
The Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation area play host to the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the natural wonders of the animal world. Millions of Wildebeests and Zebras migrate year-round through Tanzania and Kenya in the early months of each year. The short grass plains in this area provide the perfect setting for the calving season where hundreds of calves are born.
NGORONGORO
Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro crater is a World Heritage Site and is home to a wide variety of animals. The mornings always have something special because the low temperature at 2,000 meters of altitude and the thick fog that frequently covers the whole landscape leads you to a number of forests.
As you descend to about 610 Meters deep to the floor of the volcano, a huge circle of 20km in diameter and 260 km square opens to a number of ecological environments full of wildlife and with light that changes as the day passes by. You come close to Lake Magadi, the residence of numerous pink flamingos and acacia forests which are a favourite place for black rhinos, elephants, water bucks, wildebeests and zebras and the swamps are home to hippopotami and birdlife. You continue in the search for lions, cheetahs and jackals.
MANYARA
Lake Manyara

TARANGIRE
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National park is home to large herds of elephants and other game including the elusive leopard and over 400 bird species. The park’s picturesque landscape is dotted with large baobab trees and it gets its name from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park. During the dry season (from August to October) the river is the only source of water for the animals.
ZANZIBAR
Zanzibar Island
The Zanzibar archipelago, locally known as Ugunja, comprises of the Zanzibar Island, Pemba Island, Mafia Island and other numerous small islands. The Spice Islands attractions are legendary. From the exotic fascinating stone town to the palm and coral bordered white fine beaches of Nungwi and Kiwengwa. The choice depends on ones preference. Stone town built of coral Stone is the capital town of Zanzibar. Its main attractions include the slave market, Spice market and many other historical buildings. Numeral water sports such as windsurfing, big game fishing, dhows safaris, scuba diving and Snorkeling are available.
